This moment captured I remember vividly, a summer day in Rome. A rare gorgeous morning when you capture Rome at its stillness. It was a very hot day, yet so calm, the pause in human activity that early morning was surreal.
A normally chaotic, foot stomping, noise barricaded city was tranquil. I was Captivated by the birds that flew as I gazed up at the clear blue skies to take in all the beauty that surrounded me, I felt the air, the skies were blue and footstep a few.
I was pulled by colour of the Trevi Fountain, it’s turquoise blue colour danced beneath the rays of those Roman Rays of sunshine that I’m longing to return to. I stood there staring into the water, the sun hitting me and my soul deeply cocooned imagining my face Hydrated with that beautiful water.
I could see the edgings of the cobblestoned floors and smell espresso a mile away and could almost make up conversions in the gelato shops. I wondered why all other fountains didn’t have the same precious liquid running through the beautiful marble so calmly.
I suddenly realized this is a rare moment that needed to be cherished. I loved and relished in that peace the day brought.
